3D flower canvas

Hello again!

Since today is a rainy day (at least here it is) I thought I could post a craft in between. So, the craft for today is a super simple and pretty 3D flower canvas, which you can customize however you like it. I made two of these to hang in my room and I really love how they turned out. Keep reading for a step-by-step instruction.                                                                    What you need:

  • 1 or more canvas (depending on how many you want to make) in the size(s) you have chosen
  • fabric flower(s) in the color(s) you want
  • glue (I used hot glue, but fabric glue or something similar should be fine)
  • paint in the color(s) you want the background of the canvas to be (I used acrylic paint, but whatever paint you have around should work)
  • paint brush (obviously you can´t work with paint without a paintbrush – if you are not fingerpainting 🙂 )
  • paper plate or something similar
  • old t-shirt (so you don´t get paint on your good clothes)
  • old newspaper or craft table cloth, which can get paint and glue on it (so you don´t get paint on your good table)
  • possibly scissors

step-by-step instruction:

1. Put on your old t-shirt and put down old newspaper or a craft table cloth to protect your clothes and table from getting  glue or paint on them.

2. Put your paint on a paper plate or something similar (also mix your color(s) if you need to)

3. Paint your canvas the color(s) you chose (you can also do a cool pattern, if you like e.g. stripes, polka dots…)

4. While you wait for the paint to dry, cut any stems off your flowers, if you need to (make sure the bottom of the flower is  even)

5. When your canvas is dry, glue your flower to the center of your canvas (if your canvas is big enough, you can also glue 2  flowers on diagonally or however you like)

6. Now let the glue dry and hang the canvas in your room or wherever you like (this can also be a nice gift)

I hope you enjoy this craft! If you do, please leave a comment down below! And don´t forget to check out my other 2 doll family members coming up tomorrow!
